The Valley of the Kings
The valley with its high mountains, situated on the edge of the desert and located on the west bank of the Nile, is opposite the old City of ‘Thebes’ (now Luxor on the east bank). Almost the whole area of west “Thebes” forms a huge necropolis, where the rulers of the New Kingdom were buried.
Hatshepsut was a Queen belonging to the New Kingdom, from the 18th Dynasty, who was disguised as a man to be accepted as a ruler. Her temple consists of three impressive terraces and it has been dedicated to the God Amun and the Goddess Hathor. The most famous relief of the temple is a journey to Punt (now Somalia), and it is represents the first pictorial representation of a trading expedition.

The Karnak Temple was dedicated to the God Amun, it is the largest temple in the ancient world, it is one of the most important temples of Egypt. The construction of the Karnak temple took about 1500 year from the beginning until the end and it began in the 11 th Dynasty of the Middle Kingdom until the first Century BC.
You will have lunch during the visits with delicious dishes of Egyptian cuisine in a restaurant in Luxor.
Normally at the end of the day in Luxor, you can enjoy Shopping and buy souvenirs if you are interested.
Finally, after an unforgettable excursion from Sharm El Sheikh to Luxor you will return in the evening back to the airport and from there, will fly back to Sharm el Sheikh, where the bus will be waiting for you to pick up for your return to the hotel.
