Sharm el Sheikh to Jerusalem and Petra | 2 Days Trip Jerusalem & Petra
Two days trip from Sharm el Sheikh to Jerusalem and Petra by bus, you will go by bus to Israel. In Israel you will visit the holy City of Jerusalem and Bethlehem where Jesus was born. You will also visit the Dead Sea where you can swim. During the day you will get your delicious lunch. In the late afternoon you will drive to Aqaba in Jordan, where you will spend the night there.
In the second day we will drive to Petra, the famous rose-red rock city in Jordan. Walking through the canyon (Siq), the Treasury (Al Khazneh), the Roman Theatre and the Royal Tombs “King Wall”. Enjoy an unforgettable day at these impressive historical sites in Petra and get your lunch of delicious dishes in a 5-star restaurant, then drive with bus through Israel to Sharm el Sheikh.
You will be picked up in the evening from your hotel in Sharm el Sheikh and driven in an air conditioned bus about 3 hours to Taba, where you cross the border to Israel. In Israel you will meet the well trained tour guide and drive through the Arava Valley to the Dead Sea.
The shores of the Dead Sea are the lowest area of Earth which not covered from water or ice. Therefore the Dead Sea is the lowest sea in the world. You will enjoy a very unusual and unique swim.
The place where Jesus was born, You will visit the Church of the Nativity and walk through the small streets with numerous shops.
The Holy City, We will visit the Mount of Olives from where you will enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the City of Jerusalem, along with visiting the Wailing Wall, the Temple Mount, and walk through the Arabic market to the Via Dolorosa (Way of Suffering) and to the Holy Sepulchre (which is the current seat of the Greek Orthodox patriarch of Jerusalem and the Catholic Archpriest of the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre).

You will also have time to shop and buy souvenirs.
After an eventful day from Sharm el Sheikh to Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Dead Sea we will move by bus to Aqaba in Jordan, where you will spend the night there.
Second Day :
On the second day, you will be picked up morning from your hotel in Aqaba and drive about 2 hours to Petra, where you will meet the well trained tour guide who will accompany you on the trip in Petra.
Sightseeing in Petra
You will walk through the canyon (Siq) about 1 km long, where you will visit the Treasury (Al Khazneh).
Treasury (Al Khazneh)
The treasury which is located at the mouth of the Siq in the basin, is the most famous building in Petra. It‘s designed in the Hellenistic style and is nearly 40 meters high and 25 m wide and is the Khazneh Al-Firaun “The treasure house of Pharaoh” as it was called by the Bedouins. It was in fact one of many rock tombs. It may had been created for the Nabataean King Aretas IV, who ruled in the first century BC.
Was discovered in 1961 and excavated by American archaeologists. It was carved directly from the bedrock in the first century. During construction, some grave chambers were uncovered, and been driven into the rear of the massive rock. In such shaft graves, the simple inhabitants of the city had been buried during the ancient times. Currently an area has been constructed allowing for 5,000 spectators with 33 rows of seats.
Tombs of King Wall
North of the theatre on the right hand there is “The King Wall” At half height lined up 13 monumental grave temples together, due to their size and decoration it had been interpreted as the royal tombs. Belonging to them, the “Palace Grave” are the largest structure ever in Petra, the “Corinthian Grave”, the “Soldier’s Grave” and the “Urn Grave” belong to the second or third century AD, its rocky hall contains three grave niches.

After an unforgettable trip from Sharm El Sheikh to Jerusalem and Petra we return by bus from Petra to Eilat, from there we will cross the border to Taba, where our bus will pick us up back to our hotels in Sharm El Sheikh.
