Sharm el Sheikh is located in South Sinai and was a fishing village with about 100 inhabitants a generation ago.

Now, Sharm el Sheikh is one of the most popular destinations all over the world for nature lovers, snorkelers and divers as well as people who are interesting in culture.

There are more than 60.000 people living there today and it focuses on tourism and based on beach holidays, there are a lot of interesting things to do in Sharm el Sheikh, The main attractions around Sharm el Sheikh are the desert with its mountains valleys and oases, the historical sites (like St. Catherine’s Monastery, Mount Sinai etc.) and the underwater world. Divers come here to see 250 types of coral and 1000 species of fish in the Gulf of Aqaba between Sharm el Sheikh and Ras Mohammed National Park which had been declared as the first National Park in Sinai since 1983, as it is considered one of the most beautiful diving spots in the world, They can also snorkel on the shore. Now South Sinai had  five National Parks. The area with the islands and coasts considered  natural environmental sights.

The most famous place in Sharm el Sheikh is Naama Bay which is the downtown of Sharm el Sheikh where there are a lot of things to do, it has a pedestrian zone with many restaurants, markets, bars, international hotels and fast food restaurants, Naama Bay is characterized with the sand beach while almost other areas had coral beaches, now there are much more pedestrian zone areas where you can stroll like Il Mercato street in El Hadaba, Soho Square in Sharks Bay, La Strada street in Nabq Bay.

You will find that there are many things to do in Sharm el Sheikh as due to the high percentage of foreign tourists, the city is adapted to meet all their needs in terms of bars, restaurants, family and beach activities including hotel entertainment with many having Animation teams.
